On August 29, 2024, with the completion and commissioning of the ALQ120 batch mix asphalt mixing plant in Uzbekistan, construction officially began on a major arterial road carrying the local transportation aspirations. At the time, the equipment was delivered by the AIMIX brand. Now, a year later, the AIMIX brand system has been upgraded, divided into four specialized sub-brands. Among them, Macroad focuses on the R&D and service of asphalt mixing plant, fully responsible for the project’s subsequent support and follow-up.
This year, the Macroad team has consistently worked alongside its customers, and now, engineers are back in Uzbekistan for their annual return visit. One Year On: It Was More Than Just a Machine
At the outset of the project, the client faced a tight deadline and stringent construction standards. After an in-depth review of multiple suppliers, they ultimately chose Macroad.
The client’s decision was driven by more than just the ALQ120’s high performance:
- High production capacity: 120 tons/hour, meeting the demands of large-scale highway construction;

- High-precision weighing: Aggregate, asphalt, and powder weighing errors are controlled to ±0.5%, ±0.25%, and ±0.25%, respectively.

Challenges and support throughout the year
This year’s road construction wasn’t all smooth sailing. The main road project involved a large scale and tight deadlines, and the local climate and construction conditions also posed significant challenges. However, the client never faced this challenge alone. Macroad service team worked alongside them, integrating online and offline resources to ensure that problems were promptly identified and resolved.
The construction area faced significant challenges in equipment installation and raw material transportation. Macroad engineers proactively intervened, providing basic construction advice and helping the client optimize the site within a short period of time, ensuring smooth equipment commissioning.
Uzbekistan’s large temperature swings between day and night and frequent rainy seasons impacted raw material storage and production schedules. The ALQ120’s intelligent control system allowed the client to adjust production batches at any time, ensuring consistent asphalt quality.
Once, when equipment was facing shutdown due to a shortage of wearing parts, the Macroad Uzbekistan office delivered the parts within hours and dispatched engineers to install them overnight, ultimately ensuring that production schedules were met.
Throughout the project, Macroad remotely monitored equipment operating status through IoT. Combined with annual on-site inspections, it provided predictive maintenance recommendations to help the client mitigate potential failure risks.
Throughout the year, the client worked closely with engineers in the local office to ensure that every emergency was resolved in the shortest possible time, and the project schedule was never impacted by equipment issues.
Annual Visit: Beyond Checkups, Ensuring the Future
This engineers’ return visit provided more than just routine equipment maintenance. By analyzing the previous year’s production data, they customized a production optimization plan for the next phase for the client, including energy consumption control and adjustments to maintenance cycles, to ensure continued high efficiency and stability of the asphalt plant for future projects.

One year later, the best results are already being seen in the local road network:
- The main arterial road opened to traffic ahead of schedule, alleviating traffic pressure in the core area;
- Annual asphalt production exceeded 250,000 tons, providing a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of branch lines and urban roads;
- The equipment failure rate was less than 1% throughout the year. All issues were quickly resolved through the cooperation of customers and engineers, without causing major downtime.
